To configure your Network’s privacy, go to Admin > Privacy & Access and decide the following:
How Do People Join Your Network?
Access to your Network can be set to one of the following:
Invite-Only
Anyone Can Join
By default, new Mighty Networks start as Invite-Only—since no plans exist yet and you’re not ready for members.
Most Hosts, however, set up plans because they offer the most flexibility in how people join. Use plans if you want members to:
Pay
Answer questions
Request approval
Plans also let you offer access to both your Network and Spaces in a single flow.
Once you create a plan that includes the Network and make it active (by selecting where it appears or creating plan share links), your Network automatically becomes Accessible Through Plans. From then on, anyone invited must join through a plan.
If you don’t want to use plans, choose one of the following:
Invite-Only — Best if you want to tightly control access by sending invites (one-time or multi-use) without requiring payment, approval, or screening questions.
Anyone Can Join — Best for fully open Networks where anyone can join without restrictions.
We don’t recommend this option for most Networks since anyone on the Internet will be able to join and participate.
Who Can View Content Inside Your Network?
You can decide who can see member profiles, visible Collections, and public Spaces.
Note: Only promoted Spaces will be visible to visitors.
Choose one of the following:
Anyone (including visitors and logged-out members) — Ideal for Networks that are Accessible Through Plans, since it allows public previews while gating participation.
Only logged-in members — Ideal for private Networks that want all content visible only to members.
Who Can Find Your Network?
This setting determines who can search for and see that your Network exists.
Choose one of the following:
Anyone — Your Network appears in Mighty search and app discovery, and can be indexed by search engines.
Best if you want your Network to be discoverable.Only people who are invited — Your Network is hidden from search, not listed in discovery, and cannot be indexed.
Best for private or exclusive communities.
Who Can Invite People to Join Your Network?
You can also control who can send invites:
Any Network member
Only Network Hosts and moderators
If you want your members to participate in the Ambassador Program, set this to Any Network member.
This setting matters most for Invite-Only Networks. When enabled, members can invite others who can then join freely.
For Networks Accessible Through Plans, invitees must still join via a visible plan. We recommend using Plan Share Links instead of direct invites.
For Networks set to Anyone Can Join, members can already join freely.
Search Engine Indexing
When your Network is discoverable (set so that anyone can find it), you can choose how search engines index your content.
If your Landing Page is enabled, decide whether search engines can index it.
If anyone can view content inside your Network, decide whether search engines can index that content.
If your Network is set to Only invited members can find it, neither your Landing Page nor your content will be indexed.
