How Does SEO Work for My Mighty Network?

If your Mighty Network is set to public and you are on the Community Plan and above, you have the option to decide if you want member posts and profiles to be seen by search engines like Google. Search indexing is not available while you are on a Free Trial or a Free Plan.

You can find this setting by clicking on your profile picture in the top right corner > Admin > Setup > Privacy & Access and scroll down until you see Search Indexing.

By default, this toggle will be switched "on" so that your Mighty Network is crawled and indexed by search engines like Google and Yahoo. This means that all pages of your Mighty Network will be visible in search results if your Mighty Network is set to public.

If your Mighty Network is private or plan access, only the landing page will be indexed in search engines. You have the option to turn off search indexing for your Mighty Network's Landing Page by switching the toggle to "off".

If, however, you want to keep your Network public, but make it so that member posts and profiles aren't seen by the search engines, all you have to do is switch the toggle to "off." Your Landing Page will always be searchable, but all other pages of your Mighty Network will not be indexed by the search engines.

Important note: If Search Indexing is off then image previews when sharing links externally may not work as expected.
