Spaces in your Network that were previously Private now use a plan to gate access.
A new plan was auto-created for every Private Space in your Network, with the same approval step required. Each plan is visible on the Space About Page, so that members of your Network can request to join the Space.
All current members of each Space were added to these new plans and they are full members. You can manage requests to join in the same place as before.
⚠️ How to Invite and Manage Access
If you were relying on invites to a Private Space bypassing approval, those invites will no longer bypass the plan approval gate.
Everyone must join that Space through the new plan with an approval gate unless you remove the gate. Or, you can create a new hidden plan without gates and share a link to that plan with those who you want to join the Space.
In the Visibility & Sharing tab for each plan, you’ll see your options for inviting people to join the Space through a plan.
⚠️ If You Choose to Add the Network to a Plan
With the introduction of limited memberships on Mighty, you can also decide what new people have access to when they join a plan that currently only includes access to a single Space.
If you use use Invite to Plan or the Plan Share Link and invite people who are not yet members of your Network to join a plan that only includes access to a Space, those people will be limited members. Existing members of the Space will retain the same full Network access they had before.
You can optionally choose to add the Network to any of these auto-created plans so that new members joining the plan through Invite to Plan or the Plan Share Link will be full Network members.
Important Note:
If you have Space Hosts (who are not also Network Hosts) that manage requests to join for a specific Space and you add the Network or other Spaces to a plan, the Space Host's ability to approve or decline requests to join will be revoked.
Once access to the Network or other Spaces is included in a plan, only a Network Host can manage approvals.
