The Welcome Checklist and the Welcome Section are two separate tools designed to enhance your members' onboarding experience. While the Welcome Checklist is a customizable checklist for introducing key content and features across your entire Mighty Network, the Welcome Section is specific to individual Spaces and functions like a pinned post for highlighting content.
What is the Welcome Checklist?
The Welcome Checklist is a global feature available to all members, designed to guide them through key actions and content when they first join your community. It’s visible on both desktop and mobile, and updates sync across devices.
The Welcome Checklist is different from the Welcome Section, which is specific to individual Spaces and only available on paid plans. The Welcome Checklist focuses on network-wide onboarding, while the Welcome Section highlights important content in a specific Space.
Important Notes on the Welcome Checklist
Flyout Visibility:
Once a member completes the Welcome Checklist, the flyout on the right side of the screen disappears permanently.
If you'd like members who have completed the Checklist to have continued access to new Welcome Checklist content, enable the Welcome Checklist in the Global Discovery section. This allows existing members to view new Checklist items.
New Content for Incomplete Checklists:
If a member is still working through the Checklist and new content is added, the updated Checklist will automatically appear in their flyout.
Tracking Progress:
When you download your Member List, you'll see which members have completed the Welcome Checklist.

Add custom actions tied to specific Spaces (Secret Spaces are excluded).
Write a Welcome Article:
A Welcome Article is an excellent way to introduce new members to your community.
Share your community’s purpose, key features, and tips for getting started.

Disable the Checklist:
Turn off the feature from the same setup menu.
Member Experience with the Welcome Checklist
For Members Who Have Completed the Checklist:
The flyout disappears permanently.
New Checklist content can still be accessed in the Global Discovery section, as long as it is toggled on in Discovery settings.
For Members Still Working on the Checklist:
Any new content added will automatically appear in the flyout, ensuring they can complete the updated Checklist.
What is the Welcome Section?
The Welcome Section is a Space-specific feature available on paid plans. It serves as a library of "Pinned Posts" to highlight Articles, Quick Posts, Polls, Questions, Lessons, Sections, and Events within a Space. Unlike the Welcome Checklist, it is tied to the Space Feed and primarily used for welcoming members to individual Spaces.
Important Notes on the Welcome Section
The Welcome Section only appears in a Space's Feed feature.
It is pinned to the top of the Space Feed for the first 7 days after a member joins a Space.
After 7 days, the Welcome Section disappears or is replaced by the Featured Section (if enabled). Members can still access the Welcome Section in the Discovery feature of the Space (if enabled).
Setting Up a Welcome Section
Navigate to the Space Settings:
Go to the gear icon in your Space > Content Highlights > Welcome Section.
Add Content:
Include Articles, Quick Posts, Polls, Lessons, and more.
To add content to the Welcome Section in a Space:
Find the content you want to add within the Space.
Click the three-dot menu on the content.
Select "Add This To..." and choose "Welcome Section".
Rearrange Posts:
Use the three-line menu to drag and reorder content.
Duration of Visibility:
New members see the Welcome Section in their Space Feed for one week.
Pinning and Unpinning Posts
Pinning a Post
Open the web version of your account.
Locate the post you want to feature.
Click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner of the post.
Select "Add This To..." from the menu.
Choose where to pin the post:
Welcome Section
Featured Section (Space)
Welcome Checklist
Featured Section (Global)
Unpinning a Post
Open the post on the web version.
Click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
Uncheck the option where the post is pinned (Welcome Section, Welcome Checklist, or Featured Section).
Note:
Posts can only be pinned or unpinned from a web browser.
The option to pin content is not available on the mobile app.
When you add a post to your Welcome Section, it will automatically appear at the front of the section. To rearrange the order:
Click the gear icon to open the Space Settings.
Scroll down to the "Content Highlights" heading.
Click on Welcome Section.
Locate the post you want to move, click and hold the three-line menu to the left of the content, and drag it to your desired position.
Member Experience with the Welcome Section
The Welcome Section provides a curated experience for new members within a Space. Here's how members interact with it:
Visible in the Feed Only:
The Welcome Section appears at the top of the Space Feed when members access the Feed feature.
Pinned for New Members:
For the first 7 days after joining a Space, the Welcome Section is pinned to the top of the Feed.
Transition After 7 Days:
After the initial 7 days, the Welcome Section is either replaced by the Featured Section (if enabled) or disappears from the Feed.
Accessing the Welcome Section Later:
Members can still access the Welcome Section in the Discovery feature of the Space, as long as the Welcome Section is enabled in Discovery settings.
