Plans are the most flexible way to give members access to your Mighty Network, individual Spaces, or both.
Before creating your first plan, decide what you want to charge for and which parts of your Network you want to gate.
If you need help thinking through that decision, check out our article on choosing the right plan setup.
Creating a New Plan
To create a new plan:
Go to Admin > Plan List.
Select the “+” icon to create a new plan.
In the Pricing Type menu, you’ll see the option to set up Installments or Subscriptions.
Installments allow a one-time purchase plan to be split into multiple scheduled payments (for example, monthly).
Subscriptions offer ongoing billing (daily, weekly, monthly, annually, etc.).
Creating an Installment Plan
When creating an installment plan, you’ll define:
Total cost of the plan
Billing interval, which can be:
Weekly
Every two weeks
Monthly
Quarterly
The system automatically calculates each payment amount. There’s no deposit or partial access, and members must complete the full installment schedule to keep access.
Important Notes
If a member defaults on a payment, they cannot resume the same installment schedule. You can create a new plan or coordinate a separate arrangement.
Installments are available only for one-time purchase plans (not subscriptions).
Billing is handled through Stripe, including automatic retries for failed payments.
Mighty Networks manages access based on payment status. If the final retry fails, the member will automatically lose access.
You can track each member’s payment progress in Plan Details.
Creating a Subscription Plan
A subscription plan charges members on an ongoing schedule.
Subscriptions support multiple billing intervals, including:
Daily
Weekly
Monthly
Annually
Subscriptions are recurring by design. Members will continue to be billed until they cancel, and access remains active as long as payments succeed. Billing and retries for failed payments are handled through Stripe.
Combine Offers
When creating a plan, you can combine multiple pricing options for the same Space or bundle.
Examples include:
Custom Subscription intervals subscription
One-time payment vs. installments
These options appear side-by-side on the plan detail page so members can choose what works best for them.
Member Experience
When Installments are enabled for a one-time purchase, members can choose to:
Pay in full
orPay using installments
Here’s what members can expect:
The first payment is charged immediately, and members get full access right away.
Because installments are not subscriptions, members commit to completing all payments and cannot cancel or reschedule.
If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it automatically for 7 days, and members will receive prompts to update their billing details.
If all retries fail, access is removed automatically.
A defaulted installment plan cannot be resumed. The member must start again with a new plan or contact the Host.
Members can track their payment status under Personal Settings > Plans and Access.
