What Notifications Will I Get as a Host?

Notifications keep you updated about activity happening in your Mighty Network. You can manage what you’re notified about—and how you’re notified—by clicking your profile picture and going to Personal Settings > Notifications.

Ways You Receive Notifications

You can receive notifications in five ways:

  • In-app notifications (on by default)

  • Email notifications (on by default when joining from desktop or mobile app)

  • Mobile push notifications (off by default)

  • Desktop notifications (off by default)

  • Pop-up notifications (on by default on web)

In-app notifications

You’ll see these via the bell icon:

  • Upper-right corner on desktop and mobile web

  • Bottom-right corner on the iOS or Android app

Email notifications

Sent based on your email notification settings. New members receive the Daily Digest by default.

Mobile push notifications

Appear on your device when activity happens. You can enable these after downloading the Mighty Networks app.

Desktop notifications

Off by default. See our desktop notifications article to learn how to enable them.

Pop-up notifications

Temporary notifications shown on web and mobile web for:

  • Private chat messages

  • Space Chat messages

To mute Space Chat messages for a Space, open the three-dot menu next to the Space and select Mute Chat.

Private, group, and Space chat messages also appear in the chat icon in the upper-right corner.

Mark Notifications as Read or Unread

On web, select the three-dot menu next to a notification to mark it as Read or Unread.



Email Notifications

Turning email notifications on or off

Go to Personal Settings > Notifications, then toggle Email Updates on or off.

Email notifications are sent as a Daily Digest unless you switch to As Activity Happens.

Why you may see “Unsubscribed”

You may be marked as unsubscribed if:

  • Your email provider flags @mn.co

  • Filters automatically bounce Mighty Networks emails

  • You marked a Mighty email as spam

  • Your email provider has @mn.co on a blocklist

We recommend safelisting @mn.co with your email provider.

If you need to resubscribe, you’ll see a Contact Support button in your settings.

Email Frequency Options

Daily Digest (default)

Sent at 5pm local time and includes unread notifications from the day.

If you click an in-app notification before the Daily Digest sends, it will not appear in the digest.

The Daily Digest may include:

  • New Posts & Activity

  • New Course Content

  • Welcome messages

  • Notify All Members messages

  • Ambassador Program Updates

Notifications that bypass the Daily Digest

These always send immediately:

  • Message All Members (from Hosts)

  • Your Host just went Live

  • Event reminders

  • User or post reported (Network Host only)

  • Member delete or deactivate

  • Plan purchases

Mobile Push Notifications

Mobile push notifications are off by default. To turn them on:

  1. Open Personal Settings > Notifications and toggle push notifications on.

If you previously denied notifications at the device level, update your device settings to allow notifications from the Mighty Networks app.

Choosing Which Notifications You Receive

By default, all notification types are on except All Posts.

You can adjust which notifications send via:

  • Email

  • Mobile push

In-app notifications will always appear for anything you have toggled on.

  • Reactions On Your Stuff: When others emoji react on Posts, Articles, Questions, Polls, and Comments you created.

  • Comments On Your Stuff: When others comment on Posts, Articles, Events, Questions, and Polls you created.

  • Comments After You: If others comment after your comment or reply in a thread, you will be notified. However, you will not be notified about replies to other comments in the thread.

  • @Mentions: When others tag you directly in a Post, Comment or Chat.

  • Updates From Your Hosts: When a Host posts or sends a Message to All Members.

  • Event Updates and Reminders: When an Event Host sends an update or when reminders are sent before an Event starts. If this is toggled off, the creator of an Event will also not get notifications about members RSVPing to the Event.

  • Poll Answers and Results: When others vote on your Poll.

  • Activities Relevant to You: When people near you join, or when there is relevant trending activity.

  • Activities From Members You Follow: When a member you follow publishes a post

  • Private Chat Messages: When other members and Hosts send you Private Chat messages, including chat replies.

  • Space Chat Messages: Messages from other members in a Space, including chat replies.

  • Ambassador Notifications: When a member you referred joins the Network, and when you level up your Ambassador status.

  • Livestream: When a Host goes live anywhere in the Network.

  • All Posts: When any new Post is published

  • Hosts and Moderators: Invite Requests: Be notified of new requests to join. Only Hosts and Moderators of the Mighty Network, and of any Private Space can see this.

  • Hosts and Moderators: New Members Joined: Be notified when new members join the Mighty Network or Space. Only Hosts and Moderators see this.

  • Hosts and Moderators: Member Purchases Plan: Be notified when members purchase a plan.

  • Hosts and Moderators: Checklist Completed: Receive a notification each time a member in the network completes their Welcome Checklist.

  • Host: Member Delete and Deactivate Notification: Receive an email notification after a member has deleted or deactivated their account. (This email will send even if you are unsubscribed from emails.)

Space Notifications

At the bottom of your Notifications list, you can turn notifications on or off for specific Spaces.

If a Space includes a Course, you can choose to notify all members when making Lessons or Sections visible.

Note: If email or push notifications are turned off at the Network level, Space-level notifications will not send.

Other Notifications You May Receive

You will also receive the following types of notifications that won’t appear in the Daily Digest:

Account-specific:

  • Welcomes, invites, reminders, and approvals to join a Mighty Network or Space.

  • List of Mighty Networks you’re a member of (when requested via mightynetworks.com)

  • Password or sign-in-related notifications

Network Host:

  • Reported users, posts, and hidden posts (when a post is reported by at least two members, it will be hidden from the Activity Feed)

  • Event duplication notification

  • Downloaded Member list, Plan list

  • Custom domain status updates (ready to activate, activated, and failed)

  • Plan approved/rejected by Apple

  • Income reports are available

  • Member(s) that have subscription(s) ending (members who have canceled active subscriptions and their subscription will be ending that week)

  • Currency is ready to be made Visible/has failed

  • Quaderno account disconnected

  • Your Mighty Network’s Plan (eg. Business or Community Plan) payment confirmed or lapsed

  • You will not receive an email before your Mighty Network's plan is set to renew.

  • Upgrades to your Mighty Network’s Plan (eg. from Community to Business)

  • Changes to your Mighty Network’s Plan Interval (eg. from Monthly to Annual)

  • Members have been directly added to the Network or Space(s)

Space Host:

  • Download Space Member List

  • Event RSVP download

Network/Space Moderator:

  • Event duplication

  • Event RSVP download

Space (Host or Moderator):

  • You have been assigned a Section or Lesson

  • Duplication of a Course, Section, Lesson that you are assigned.

  • Comments on a Lesson you are the Instructor for. (If other Course Instructors want to receive these notifications, they need to toggle on “All Posts” in their notification settings).
