How Do I Schedule a Livestream Event?
Updated over a month ago

Scheduling a livestream event on your Mighty Network is a fantastic way to engage your members!

Create Your Event

Navigate to the Space where you want to hold your event and select the Create button > Event.

Note: This feature is only available on web, not mobile.

Give your Event a title that conveys the theme of the livestream. Then upload a banner and thumbnail images and write a description for the Event.

Under the "Event Type" pick “Live Video”

You can leave the “Link to Your Live Video” field blank or paste the url for the Space where you will go live.

Set the time for your livestream Event.

When you start the livestream, you will select the option to “Add livestream link to Event” on the "Ready to Go?" page.

You will see a dropdown menu for all the Live Video Events happening within 20 minutes of your Event’s start time.

When you select your Event in the dropdown, the direct livestream link then automatically populates the “Live Video” hyperlink on the Event page.

Any Network Host that's also a Space Host can start the livestream Event.

Note: Meeting, Webinar, and Zoom Events will not show in the dropdown.

Can I Use Virtual Backgrounds While Livestreaming?

If you're using macOS Sequoia and livestreaming through a browser (we recommend using Chrome), you can easily add virtual backgrounds to enhance your presentation. Here’s how:

  1. Launch your livestream and click the green video icon in your Mac’s top toolbar.

  2. Select "Background" from the dropdown menu.

  3. Choose from a variety of built-in backgrounds, like color gradients and system wallpapers, or upload your own custom photo.

If you're using macOS Sequoia, you'll be prompted monthly to re-allow screen sharing permissions. Be sure to grant permission when prompted to ensure smooth livestreaming.
