Can I Add My Own Custom Terms of Use to My Mighty Network?
Updated this week

Yes! As a Host, you can add your own Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, or Community Guidelines for members to agree to when creating their accounts.

How to Add Your Custom Terms

  1. Send Us Your Policy: Use the Need Help button in your Mighty Network or email help@mightynetworks.com with the URL link to your custom guidelines.

  2. Customizing the Display: You can choose a name (up to 29 characters) to display, followed by one of these options:

    • Terms

    • Conditions

    • Terms & Conditions

    • Policies

    • Privacy Policy

Please let us know your choice when you message our team. Once we receive your request, we’ll add it within 24 hours.

How It Appears to Members

  • Landing Page Footer: Your custom terms will show in the footer with your chosen name. Example: "Modern Creator Terms."

For Plan Access Networks, on the payment confirmation page, new members will see links to the "Privacy Policy," "Terms of Use," and your [Custom Terms] at the bottom of the screen.

For Members in the U.S.

When creating an account, members in the United States agree to:

  • Mighty Networks' Terms of Use and Privacy Policy

  • Your custom terms of use

For Members Outside the U.S. (GDPR)

For members in GDPR-compliant countries, three checkboxes appear:

  1. Terms Agreement (required): "By creating an account, I agree to [Your Network’s] Terms and Mighty Networks’ Terms of Use and Privacy Policy."

  2. Activity Updates (optional): Members can opt in for email updates about activity within your Network.

  3. Marketing Emails (optional): Members can opt into your external mailing list for newsletters or special offers.

Notes:

  • Mighty Networks does not send marketing emails to your members. Even if a member opts out, their email is available on your downloadable member list, with a column marking those who opted out of commercial emails.

  • If new Custom Terms are added to your Network, members who joined before this update won’t be automatically prompted to accept the new terms.
