We want your members to feel safe and secure in your community, so we offer them a few helpful tools.
They can block members, report members, or report a post that they feel is inappropriate.
Here’s how it all works.
Blocking or Reporting a Member
If a member needs to block communication with or report another member, they can do so by:
Going to the member’s profile.
Clicking the three-dot menu.
Selecting "More."
Choosing the "Block" or "Report" option.
They can also block or report a member from a chat message by:
Opening the chat window with the member.
Clicking the three-dot menu.
Clicking "More".
Selecting the "Block" or "Report" option.
Once you've blocked the member, you will no longer receive notifications or 1-to-1 messages from the member. Any 1-to-1 chat you have with them will clear from your chat notifications after you log in again. You will also no longer see their posts in the Activity Feed.
If you have been blocked by another member, your chat will continue to show as normal although the member you are chatting with will no longer receive the messages.
We don’t alert the blocked person that they have been blocked and they will still be able to see the posts and comments of the person who blocked them.
Unblocking a Member
If they change their mind or block someone by mistake, it can be easily undone. To unblock a member:
Go to the blocked member’s profile.
Click the three-dot menu.
Select "More."
Choose the "Unblock" option.
Alternatively, they can unblock a member by sending them a message in a 1-to-1 chat.
Reporting a Member
On both web and mobile, if a member needs to report another member to you or other Hosts, they can:
Go to the member’s profile.
Click the three-dot menu.
Select “Report [Member's Name]”.
After they report the member, they will be asked why they are reporting them.
When they click "Report Member", they'll see confirmation that the report has been sent to their Hosts and they'll also see the option to block the member they've reported.
When a member is reported, all Hosts receive a notification with the details and the reason for the report. As a Host, you can then take action, such as removing or banning the reported member.
Reporting a Post
To report a post, a member should:
Click the three-dot menu on the post.
Select "More."
Choose "Report Article."
If a post has been reported by more than two members, it is automatically hidden from the Activity Feed.
Hosts will be able to review reported members and content. To view reported content:
Click your profile picture in the top right corner on a web browser.
Click "Admin".
Scroll down to the "Moderation" heading > click "Reported Members" or "Reported Content".
Only Network Hosts of the entire Mighty Network will see reported members and content.
