Some of My Invites Were Marked as Spam—Why?
Updated over 2 months ago

Mighty Networks takes spam prevention seriously, and we have several mechanisms in place to prevent abuse of our system.

When you are inviting new members to join your Mighty Network via the invite and sharing features, we recommend uploading a clean, verified list of good email addresses so that you can ensure your invites are sent out quickly and efficiently.

If the list of invited members you upload or send directly through the system includes email addresses that are invalid, bounce, or appear to come from suspicious domains, your invites will be flagged by our system and will not be sent out.

If this happens, the system will send you a notification so that you can clean your invite list and validate your email addresses before attempting to send invites again. Or, you can switch to using the Share Link to send your invites out quickly through a third-party email service like Mailchimp or Kit (formerly Convertkit).

How to Validate Email Addresses

Mighty Networks cannot validate the email addresses you want to invite or reveal which email addresses were flagged by the system.

However, we can recommend services you can use to determine which email addresses were flagged so that you can resume inviting directly through the system. Both of these options are GDPR compliant.

  • DeBounce is a simple email validation tool that will identify bounced, disposable, or deactivated emails.

  • NeverBounce is an email verification and email cleaning service that offers bulk email list cleaning and automated email validation.
