Before the end of the year, Mighty’s software will be available in…
French
Spanish
Brazilian Portuguese
German
Italian
Dutch
That means that people who have those language preferences will be able to see the buttons and notifications and all the other system-generated text in your Mighty Network in that language.
What’s more, as the Host, you’ll be able to set a preference for first-time visitors or viewers of your Mighty Network. So if your audience is primarily Spanish-speaking and that’s who you want to attract, you can set that tone from the start.
Localization FAQs
What about [insert your favorite language here]?
We’ll be evaluating demand and interest for other languages and will make sure you have the chance to let your voice be heard!
Right-to-left languages, like Arabic and Hebrew, have additional complexities so we can’t promise they will come quickly. But still—let us know what other languages you’re looking for, we’ll see what we can do
How does a new member set their preferred language?
On Web
When someone creates an account, we detect and suggest a preferred language automatically using this order:
Their browser language (if supported)
Your Mighty Network’s default language (if set)
English (as the fallback)
Members can change their preferred language any time in their personal settings. This controls:
The language they see your Mighty Network in
The language of their notifications and notification emails
On Mobile
When the app is first installed, preferred language is auto-detected from:
The device’s language (if supported)
English (as the fallback)
Members can change their preferred mobile app language anytime in their app settings. Each device supports one app language at a time.]
How does an existing member set their preferred language?
Once this launches, they’ll be default English but can go to their settings to change it.As the Host, that’s also when you can decide to change your default language—we won’t try to guess what you want and change it.
What will and won’t be translated?
The member-facing product experience will be translated, including core navigation, onboarding flows, key features, emails and notifications.
Content you or your Hosts write, like this article I’m writing, or a course lesson, won’t be automatically translated. But you can write them in whatever language you’d like!Same goes for videos or voice notes—they’ll remain in the language you produce them in.User-generated content translation is an interesting challenge we’re excited to explore in the future.
Do all tiers of Mighty get this—Community plan and up?
Oui! Yes, all Mighty Hosts will have this amazing ability.
