How Do I Upload Documents, PDFs, Files, etc to My Mighty Network?

In your Mighty Network, you have the ability to upload documents, share files, and set up a library of resources that members can download easily.

Currently, we support adding file attachments as downloads within Quick PostsArticlesEvents, or the Sections and Lessons you create within a Course that lives inside your Mighty Network. File attachments can be PDFs, Word docs, slides, spreadsheets, and more. The only limit is that your file attachment must be 25MB or smaller.

If you're on our Mighty Pro or Business Plan, you can upload video directly to a Course Overview, Sections, or Lessons. The file must be 2GB or smaller.

How to Add File Attachments as Downloads

When you're creating or editing an Article, an Event, or Course Materials inside your Mighty Network, you can add multiple file attachments directly within the post.

Press enter/return to start a new line of text, and use the + button along the left to open up the options to add a photo, embed a video, embed a media file hosted elsewhere, add a file attachment like a PDF, or include a section divider.

Just click the first icon to Add a Photo, Video, or File, and select the file you want to upload. Once you save and publish it, members can click to download your attachment!

Here's a full list of the types of files you can upload:

  • Images: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .webp, .gif, .heic, .heif
  • Audio: .m4a, .mp3
  • Video: .mp4, .mov, .webm, .ogg, .avi, .mpeg, .3gpp, .quicktime, .mp2t, .mxf
  • Documents: .csv, .doc, .log, , .pdf, .ppt, .psd, .rar, .svg, .txt, .xls, .zip

How to Organize Your Downloads

We recommend using Topics to keep your Articles with file attachments and downloads organized and easily accessible for members. You can even create a Host-only Topic that *just* includes a curated list of all the Articles with downloads related to a certain subject or theme.

You can also keep file attachments and downloads organized within a Course that lives inside your Mighty Network. Because you can rename Courses to be anything you wish (we have a lot of folks who rename ‘Courses’ to ‘Resources’ or ‘Libraries’, for example), this is also a great option for keeping content and downloads organized for your members.
